## Custom Colors — actually customizable
Pick any **background** and **time** color and watch the clock face update in real time. The editor shows a WCAG contrast badge — *Great*, *Low*, or *Hard to read* — so you don't accidentally pick a combo nobody can read.
*Starter swatches:* Amber / Black · Mint / Charcoal · Ink / Paper. The colors you pick power the **Custom widget** immediately — placed widgets reload to match — and also drive the in-app clock when you tap the **Custom** card in either theme gallery.

## Built for privacy
Tockwell is one of the more honest privacy stories on the App Store: there isn't one to tell.
- **No network calls.** Tockwell makes none. Nothing leaves your device.
- **No analytics, no telemetry.** None at all. No first-party, no third-party.
- **No tracking.** The App Store privacy manifest declares `NSPrivacyTracking = false` and an empty tracking-domains list.
- **No data collection.** The privacy manifest declares an empty collected-data-types list. Your cities, alarms, and color choices live in `UserDefaults` inside an App Group on your device.
- **No accounts, no sign-in, no cloud sync.** There's nothing to sign into.
- **No third-party SDKs.** Not one.

- Does Tockwell work without internet?
- Yes. It makes no network calls. Time data comes from your device's clock; time-zone data from iOS.
- Do I need to sign in?
- No. There's no account system.
- Do widget colors actually sync with the widget?
- Yes. The Custom widget reads the colors you pick in the in-app editor through a shared App Group and refreshes its placed timeline automatically when you change them.
- Will alarms ring if my phone is silent or in Focus?
- Yes — AlarmKit alarms break through silent mode and Focus with a system-grade alert, the same way Apple's own Clock app alarms do.
- Can I set my own city name?
- Yes. Tap Cities → + → Custom City… to give a city your own name and pick any IANA time zone.
- Why does the device-local clock just say "Local Time"?
- Because Tockwell deliberately doesn't ask for your location. The IANA time-zone identifier (e.g., America/Denver) represents an entire zone, not your city. "Local Time" is honest — replace it with your real city in seconds via Add City or Custom City.
- Is there a stopwatch or timer?
- No. Tockwell is focused on the clock, alarms, and widgets. Use Apple Clock for stopwatch and timer.
- Is there a Mac app or watch app?
- Not at launch. The iPhone and iPad versions ship from a single universal binary.
- Does Tockwell support Dynamic Type and VoiceOver?
- Yes. Lists, settings, and onboarding scale with Dynamic Type. Every clock surface ships a combined VoiceOver label (e.g., "New York, 3:45 PM, Wednesday, May 21, Tomorrow").
